I was busy unpacking my boxes in my new room when something caught my eye and made me stop. It was an old photo from a movie called "Nosotros los Pobres" ("We the Poor"). The famous actor Pedro Infante was in it along with some other stars. As I looked at the picture, a rush of feelings hit me all at once. This was the last movie my mom and I watched together before she passed away. I could still picture myself sitting in the chair next to her hospital bed, sharing those moments. I stood there, trying to hold back tears but still smiling. You know that weird mix of happy and sad emotions? That’s exactly what this photo gave me. Before I knew it, tears were rolling down my cheeks, almost like they were trying to catch up with my memories.​
